Mission Support at Naremburn Cammeray

Each year our Parish Council gives away 10% of all offertories to Mission. The organisations we support are involved in work locally, nationally and internationally and are primarily engaged in the proclamation of God's Word to our broken and divided world. You are able to scroll through each of the people and organisations we support below.

In addition to the amount given by Parish Council, members of the church support various organisations through direct giving or through the church. These organisations are listed below.

If you click on the name of any of the organisations, their website (if available) will open in a new window.

CMS
Church Missionary Society

The object of CMS is to work for the coming of God’s Kingdom through the proclamation of the gospel of Christ throughout the world in fellowship with local churches. They currently have 156 missionaries serving in 27 countries and more preparing to go in 2006.

We support;

AFES
Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students

Universities in Australia are full of students who are poised to make life-changing decisions about what they believe and where they are heading. AFES works in this God-given window of opportunity to reach students for Christ.

AFES employs staff to help and encourage students in their Christian growth and witness, and has student groups on campuses in every state and territory in Australia. Groups hold a variety of activities, such as regular public Bible talks, smaller Bible studies, prayer groups, mid-year conferences and outreach events.

BCA
Bush Church Aid

BCA's purpose is: to proclaim Christ so that people may respond to him; to nurture Christians in their faith and ministry; to strengthen local Christian communities in their mission to provide services of Christian care and advocacy; to develop an understanding of Christ's mission and to promote active partnership throughout the church.

BCA fulfils its mission as the people of Australia are given the opportunity to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ, trust in his promises, respond to him in obedience, reflect his character in their lives, be committed to his church and work for his purpose in the world.

Their goal is to proclaim Christ across cultures by word and action in countries where otherwise He wouldn't be known. By placing Christians with skills in these areas to serve individuals, churches and communities with holistic care, they are being real salt and light of this world.

Interserve continues to grow around the world. They now have 14 sending countries and over 20 receiving countries in Asia, Northern Africa and in the Arab World. Seconded agencies work in partnership with them to ensure the work of Partners reach those who need it the most and that the best care is being offered to our Partners in their host countries.

They currently have over 600 Christians around the world filling job positions that are in great demand, such as teachers, medical specialists, development workers, Bible teachers.
