"Many people have said to me over the years, about Christianity, 'I just don’t get it'. This grieves me, mostly because of how wonderful I think the Bible is, and how much I cherish God and His grace shown us in Jesus. But it is my pleasure (and my most important role) to explain Christianity, deepen insight and clarify; especially when people understand and are thankful.
"On Tuesday nights this February will be a friendly chance for you to ask all the questions you’ve never felt comfortable asking (if I don’t know the answer, then we can grapple with the answers together). It will be a chance to understand what all the fuss is about. It will be a chance to step out of the rat race, stop and reflect. It will be a chance to hear what is at the very heart of Christian living and learn the foundation of Christian thinking and worship. It will be a chance for you to hear what is important to me, as Senior Minister here at NCACHURCH, and to hear what NCACHURCH is all about. Also, it is a great way for me to get to know you – though I promise to avoid asking awkward questions.
"If you want to come and just listen, then you will be most welcome. Take the chance. I have wrestled with what to call these evenings. Should it focus on your opportunity to ask or investigate (iASK)? Or maybe focus on my opportunity to add insight or explain (iXplain)? I have settled on just saying that these nights are nights that I am keen to make my first priority in 2010 (Priority One).
