Years, days and hours may blur into one, but relationships provide substance and meaning to life itself. There is a sense of wholeness and belonging when we are a part of a family or group of friends. However, our relationships are not always easy; they can be the source of our greatest joy, but equally our greatest worry and pain.

Jesus knew we were created for relationships – for
relationships where we are known by others and know others well. He also experienced the pain of human relationships through betrayal, suffering and ultimately death. But he did so, knowing that this world and the relationships we find within it, are too precious to lose as we do, and not
all that they should be.

Jesus knew where we could find the Ultimate Relationship, and he gave himself up at the cross so that we might be able to enter into it.
