MTS at NCA

There is an upcoming MTS Supporters’ Night on 30 April.

MTS (Ministry Training Strategy) is 2 year apprenticeship where participants work full-time in a ministry environment under the training of an experienced ministry worker. NCA is committed to training up gospel workers, and so for the past few years has had MTS apprentices on board.

For 2023–2024 our church MTS apprentices are Gabriel Aravena (left) and Nathan Smith (right).

How you can support MTS at NCA…

1. Prayer

One of the most important ways to support our MTSers, Nathan and Gab, is to pray for them. Nathan and Gab will be sending out regular updates and prayer points.

We’d love for you to receive these updates and to pray for them faithfully. Please sign up below!

2. Finances

Both Nathan and Gab are doing a ‘Scholarship’ MTS. This means that all financial support is given to MTS directly (rather than NCA). MTS will then make scholarship payments to them throughout the two year apprenticeship.

The annual costs of the scholarship are $37,000 for Nathan and $52,113 for Gab. These funds are used to cover three main expenses:

  1. The costs of administration carried out by MTS

  2. The cost of the study component of their scholarships (Timothy Partnership for Nathan; Cornhill Preaching for Gab)

  3. The monthly scholarship payments to cover Nathan and Gab’s living expenses

Please note: all funds raised in support of MTS Scholarships are tax deductible (with receipts issued by MTS to individual givers).

How to Give?

There are three different ways to give to support the MTS program at NCA. On the one hand, money can be given to support MTS generally at NCA (this will be distributed between Nathan and Gab based on need). On the other, money can be given to Nathan or Gab individually.

The following buttons should allow you to give however you decide…
