Position Description: Parish Administrator (Part-Time)
Position Title: Parish Administrator
Hours: +/- 26 hours per week (flexible across weekdays)
Reports to: Senior Minister
Location: Naremburn Cammeray Anglican Church, 205 Willoughby Rd, Naremburn
Who we are
Naremburn Cammeray Anglican Church (NCAC) is an evangelical parish on Sydney’s lower north
shore. We have two church sites with multiple congregations, and vibrant children’s and youth
ministries.
Purpose of the Role
The Parish Administrator plays a key role in the smooth and effective operation of parish life. This
role supports ministry by ensuring clear communication, well-organised services, and efficient
administrative systems. It is both practical and relational—serving staff, volunteers, and the wider
congregation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communications (Newsletter & Digital)
Prepare and distribute the weekly parish newsletter
Maintain clear and consistent communication across email, website, and other platforms
Coordinate ministry updates, events, and announcements
Ensure branding and tone are consistent with the NCAC vision and branding policy/guidelines
2. Service Production & Coordination
Coordinate weekly service logistics (run sheets, rostering support, service elements)
Prepare and manage presentation slides using ProPresenter
Liaise with ministry leaders, musicians, and volunteers
Ensure services run smoothly from a planning and admin perspective
3. Reception & Front-of-House
Act as the first point of contact (phone, email, in-person enquiries)
Provide a warm and welcoming presence to visitors and members
Manage general enquiries and direct appropriately
4. General Administration
Maintain parish calendar, bookings, and room usage
Support staff with scheduling and coordination
Maintain accurate records and filing systems
Assist with event administration and logistics
Procurement of office supplies
5. Database & Systems (Elvanto)
Maintain and update parish database (Elvanto)
Support rostering, attendance tracking, and reporting
Assist ministry leaders in using systems effectively
6. Financial Administration (in coordination with Treasurer)
Receive, process, and record invoices
Assist with payment preparation and tracking (via Xero)
Maintain orderly financial records and documentation
Liaise with Treasurer regarding accounts, payments, and reporting needs
7. Compliance & Governance Support
Assist with Safe Ministry record-keeping
Co-maintain volunteer records, training compliance, and checks (e.g. WWCC)
Key Competencies & Skills
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Clear and warm written and verbal communication
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Discretion and professionalism with sensitive information
Desirable Experience
Experience in church or not-for-profit administration
Familiarity with Elvanto (or similar church database systems)
Experience using ProPresenter (or similar presentation software)
Basic competency with digital tools (email platforms, document systems, etc.)

Employment Details
Part-time (negotiable, but up to 26 hours/week)
Flexible working hours (with some fixed requirements around service preparation)
Remuneration commensurate with experience under the Clerks Private sector award
